REAR SHOCK ABSORBER AND RELAY ARM

REMOVING THE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
ASSEMBLY
1. Stand the motorcycle on a level surface.
Securely support the motorcycle so that
there is no danger of it falling over.
NOTE:
Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand so
that the rear wheel is elevated.
2. Disconnect:
S battery leads
(from the battery terminals)
CAUTION:
First, disconnect the negative lead 1 ,
then the positive lead 2 .
3. Remove:
S battery
4. Remove:
S side covers
S connecting plate bolt 1
S rear shock absorber assembly lower bolt

NOTE:
While removing the rear shock absorber as-
sembly lower bolt, hold the swingarm so that
it does not drop down.
5. Remove:
S rear shock absorber assembly upper bolt
1
S rear shock absorber assembly
NOTE:
Raise the swingarm and then remove the
rear shock absorber assembly from be-
tween the swingarm and relay arm.
