FRONT/REAR BRAKE FLUID

Check: every 30 days
• Visual inspection is to be performed through sight glass
(S) of the brake fluid reservoirs: front brake (A) and rear
brake (B), when the scooter is on level ground and per-
fectly upright.
• The level is correct when the fluid is 3 mm from the
lower edge of the sight glass.
Brake fluid is corrosive and can cause dam-
age and injuries.
Do not mix different types of brake fluid.
Check that the gaskets are perfectly oil-tight.
Brake fluid change: every 24 months or 12000
km.
• If the fluid contains traces of dirt, debris or water, the
entire circuit must be drained and filled with new brake
fluid.
• A soft and spongy feeling in the brake lever can indi-
cate the presence of air in the circuit.

COOLANT

• The coolant expansion tank is located under the rubber
mat on the right-hand side.
• The coolant level can be checked with reference to the
"MIN" and "MAX" marks, which are visible through the
chassis number inspection window.
• Check the coolant level in the tank when the engine is
cool, in order to avoid burns.
• The coolant level is correct when it is between the "MIN"
and "MAX" marks on the reservoir.
• If it is lower than the "MIN" mark, top up to the "MAX"
mark.
• Recommended coolant: Q8 TOP FLUID.
• Dilute new coolant in equal parts with water (if it is not supplied in pre-diluted form).
NOTE The cooling circuit features an electric fan controlled by a thermistor. The fan cuts in automatically to
cool the fluid in the radiator when the temperature rises excessively. The fan is protected by a 7.5 A
fuse located in the luggage compartment in the lower fairing.
Before using the scooter check that the cooling surface of the radiator, located between the two
headlights is not clogged with leaves, paper, mud, or other debris.
