Engine Oil Level Inspection; Compression Pressure - Linhai 2004 ATV 260 Service Manual

CHAPTER 3A ENGINE
If it is below the minimum pressure →
Squirt a few drops of oil into the affected cylinder
and measure again. Follow the table below.

Minimum :
1,120 kP a (11.2 kg /cm
Measurement steps :
Crank the engine with the throttle wide open until
reading on the compression gauge stabilizes.
WARNING :
Before cranking the engine, ground all spark plug
leads to prevent sparking.
8. Install:

3.2.5ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION

1. Start the engine and let it warm up for a few
minutes .
2. Turn off the engine.
3. Inspect: (Do not thread dipstick in)
Engine oil level
Oil level should be between maximum and
minimum marks "2" .
Oil level is below the minimum mark
to the proper lever.

Diagnosis
Worn or damaged pistons
Possible defective ring (s),
valves,
cylinder head gasket or
Piston →Repair.
