CHAPTER 8 ELECTRICAL

4.Starter relay

Disconnect the relay unit coupler from
the wire harness.
Connect the pocket tester (Ωx1) and
battery (12V) to the relay unit coupler
terminals.
Battery (+) lead→
Green/Yellow terminal
Battery (-) lead→
Yellow/Red terminal
Check the starter relay for continuity.
Test (+) lead →
Test (-) lead →

5. .Starting circuit cut-off relay

Disconnect the starting circuit cut-off
relay coupler from the wireharness.
Connect the pocket tester (Ωx1) and
battery (12V) to the starting circuit cut-off
relay coupler terminals.
Battery (+) lead→ terminal
Battery (-) lead→ terminal
Check the starting circuit cut-off relay
for continuity.
Test (+) lead →
Test (-) lead → terminal

A wire used as a jumper lead
must have the equivalent
capacity as that of the battery
lead or more, otherwise it
may burn.
This check is
produce sparks, so be sure
that no flammable gas or fluid
is in the vicinity
