Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.

EXHAUST HIGH LIMIT THERMOSTAT

Refer to page 4-6 for the procedure for access-
ing the exhaust high limit thermostat.
The exhaust high limit thermostat is a reset-
table device. The cutoff temperature is 150°F
(65.5°C).
1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2. Turn off gas supply to dryer.
3. Disconnect the wires from the exhaust high
limit thermostat.
4. Set the ohmmeter to the R X 1 scale.
5. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the ex-
haust high limit thermostat terminals. The
meter should indicate continuity (0 Ω). If
the meter indicates an open circuit (infinite),
press the reset button. The meter should
indicate continuity (0 Ω).

THERMAL CUTOFF (TCO)
(ELECTRIC DRYERS ONLY)
High Limit Thermostat Thermal Cutoff (TCO)
Refer to page 4-8 for the procedure for access-
ing the thermal cutoff (TCO).
The TCO is a non-resettable device. The cutoff
temperature is 178°C (352°F).
If the dryer does not heat, and the proper
voltage is supplied to the dryer, perform the
following test.
1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2. Disconnect the wires from the TCO.
3. Set the ohmmeter to the R X 1 scale.
4. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the TCO
terminals. The meter should indicate conti-
nuity (0 Ω ). If the meter indicates an open
circuit (infinite), replace both the TCO and
the high limit thermostat.
