Configuring Scan to Network

Scan to Network lets users of a printer scan their documents to network destinations specified by the network
administrator. After the destinations (shared network folders) have been established on the network, the setup
process for the application involves installing and configuring the application on the appropriate printer(s) using the
Embedded Web Server.
Configuring a destination using the Embedded Web Server

From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Solutions > Embedded Solutions > Scan to Network >
Configure.

Click Add.
Note: You can also edit or delete existing destinations.

Type a name for the destination.

Select Network Folder or FTP Address, and then configure the selected destination.

Under Authentication Options, select whether to require user authentication for this destination or not. The
credentials are used to access the network destination.

In the sections that follow, adjust the settings as necessary:
Select check boxes to allow users to modify settings.
Use radio buttons and drop-down menus to specify the default settings.

Click OK.

Repeat to add, edit, or delete destinations.

Click Apply.
Scanning documents at the printer

Load the document into the scanner.
Note: Documents may be loaded into the scanner in multiple ways. For information on the different methods
of loading documents into the scanner, see the User's Guide that came with the printer.

Touch the application icon.

Select the destination where you want to receive the scanned document.
Note: After steps 2 or 3, you may be required to enter the user name and password used to access the printer
depending on how the printer and the particular destination are configured. Contact your system support person
for login information.

Some additional job options may be available depending on how the application has been configured. Follow
the instructions on the screen to update the options. Contact your system support person for more information
on each option.

Touch Scan It or Send It. Depending on how the application has been configured, you may have the option to
preview and make adjustments to scanned pages.
