SETTING UP YOUR TS-80 PHONE

There are three programmable options for the TS-80. They are:

• Area code — 7-digit local dialing

• Area codes — 10-digit local dialing

• Outside line access code

Area Code — 7-digit Dialing

If you dial local calls using 7 digits (e.g. 555-1212), enter your area code in the

area code/7 digits dial configuration screen. Do not enter any area codes in the

next configuration screen, the area code/10 digits dial screen.

By programming the area code, the phone will not insert a "1" and not dial the

area code when calling back (from the call log) a call received from your local

area code.

For example, the 7-digit dialing area code is programmed as 405 and a call is

received and logged as 405-555-1212. Pressing

call log will place the call by dialing 555-1212.

Area Codes — 10-digit Dialing

If you dial local calls using 10 digits (e.g. 405-555-1212), first enter

in the area code/7-digits dial configuration screen. Then enter up to 3 local

area codes in the area code/10-digits dial configuration screen.

By programming the local area codes, the phone will not insert a "1" when calling

back (from the call log) a call received from any of the programmed local area code.

For example, the 10-digit dialing area code is programmed as 405 and a call is

received and logged as 405-555-1212. Pressing

call log will place the call by dialing 405-555-1212. If a call is received from

416-555-1212, pressing

call by dialing 1-416-555-1212.
