4 Push the TEST button on the print server with one quick move – do
not hold the button down for more than one second. The test file is a
small HP/GL2 file that will be processed and printed by the printer.
This will verify the parallel output capability of the print server as well
as the parallel port of the printer.
Installing print server administration software
There are several ways to configure and monitor the print server. These meth-
ods are described in detail in the Administrators Guide included on the System
CD#1. You must use the XAdmin32 print server administration utility to establish
initial communication with the printer. After communications has been estab-
lished, then use WEBXAdmin to make detailed changes to the print server.
This 32-bit version works on Windows 2000, Windows NT4.xx, Windows 95/98
or Windows ME using the TCP/IP or IPX/SPX protocols.

To install XAdmin32:
1 Insert the CADJET 3D System CD #1 and follow the onscreen
instructions to install XAdmin32.

To connect and configure the print server using XAdmin32:
1 Connect one end of the crossover cable to the RJ45 socket, labeled
100/10, on the print server.
NOTE: Do not plug into the serial jack of the print server, this jack is
provided as a serial printing port. Even though the RJ45 plug will fit
into the serial socket, the wiring is not compatible.
2 Connect the other end of the crossover cable to the RJ45 socket on
your computer's network interface card.
