Trakker Antares 243X Handheld Terminal User's Manual
Note: The Code 11 symbology is not supported on 243X terminals with
the integrated linear imager. Additionally, Code 11 is only supported on
243X terminals configured for non-decoded scanning. The PDF417
symbology is only supported on 243X terminals configured for decoded
scanning. For more information, see "Code 11" or "PDF417" in
Chapter 6 of the Trakker Antares 2400 Family System Manual (P/N
071389).
Unless you ordered a terminal with the no scanner option, the 243X
comes with an integrated scanner for scanning bar code labels.
Additionally, you can attach these Intermec-recommended input devices
to the 243X:
• Intermec 1400 linear imager
• Intermec 1551E laser scanners
• Intermec 1553E laser scanners
• Intermec 1800 scanners
After you determine which input device to use, you need to connect it to
the 243X using an interface cable and configure the Scanner Selection
command on the 243X. The appropriate interface cable and Scanner
Selection command value for each input device is listed in the next
sections. For more information about the Scanner Selection command, see
"Scanner Selection" in Chapter 6 of the 2400 Family system manual.
Intermec is frequently testing and developing new input devices. For an
updated list of Intermec-approved input devices for the 243X, see your
Intermec sales representative.
Use the next table to determine which interface cable and Scanner
Selection command value to use for each input device. To learn more
about the standard connector module, see "Learning About the Connector
Modules" on page 27.
