HORIZONTAL TERMINATIONS

HORIZONTAL VENT SYSTEM CLEARANCES
ALL APPROVED VENTING
NOTE Horizontal sections require 1/4" (6mm) rise for every 12" (305mm) of travel.
MINIMUM: 45° elbow + 6" (152mm) horizontal + termination cap.
MAXIMUM: U.S. Installations: 45° elbow + 10ft. (3.05m) + termination cap.
Canadian Installations: 0-2000ft. (0-607m): 45˚ elbow + 10ft. (3.05m) + termination cap.
2000-4500ft. ( 607-1372m): 45˚ elbow + 10ft. (3.05m) + termination cap. Must de-rate burner orifices: Nat. Gas: #56 & #35
The horizontal vent heat shield must be installed when using a 45-degree elbow to horizontally position the vent system.
Exception: corner installations
IMPORTANT
Kozy Heat Wall Pass-thru, #800-WPT (4-1/2" (114mm) - 6-1/2" (165mm) wall thickness) or #800-WPT2 (6-1/2" (165mm) - 12-
1/2" (318mm) wall thickness), must be used on all horizontal vent runs.
