Electronic immobiriser (Anti-theft startingsystem)
The electronic immobiriser is designed to significantly reduce
the possibility of vehicle theft. The purpose of the system is to
immobilise the vehicle if an invalid start is attempted. A valid
start attempt can only be achieved (subject to certain condi-
tions) using a keyless operation system and emergency key
"registered" to the immobiriser system.
All of the keys provided with your new vehicle have been pro-
grammed to the vehicle's electronics. Refer to "Keyless opera-
tion system : Ignition switch" on page1-35,1-27.

In order to prevent theft, the engine will not start unless a pre-
registered emergency key is used (engine immobiliser func-
tion). Also refer to "Starting and driving: Starting the engine"
on page 4-17.
LOCK
The engine is off and the steering wheel is locked. The emer-
gency key can be inserted and removed in this position.
ACC
The electrical accessories can be used with the engine off.
ON
The engine runs and all electrical accessories can be used.
