Read this section if you turn your Hitachi Simple Modular Storage 100 on
and off for extended periods.
If your Hitachi Simple Modular Storage 100 is removed from an AC power
supply longer than six months, its internal battery will become over
discharged and unrecoverably damaged, and you will need to replace your
array. To avoid this situation, connect your Hitachi Simple Modular Storage
100 to an AC outlet for more than six hours at least once every six months
so the battery can be charged.
