Removing a 10 Gbps Ethernet module

1. Remove the 10 Gbps module:
2. Place the 10 Gbps module in an anti-static bag for storage.

Replacing a fiber optic module
You can remove an SFP or XFP module from a port and replace it with a new one while the FastIron
LS device is powered on and running.
Before removing a fiber optic module, have the following on hand:
DANGER
For safety reasons, the ESD wrist strap should contain a series 1 meg ohm resistor.
Follow the steps below to remove a fiber optic module from a 1 Gbps Ethernet or 10 Gbps Ethernet
port.
1. Put on the ESD wrist strap and ground yourself by attaching the clip end to a metal surface
2. Disconnect the fiber cable connector from the port connector.
3. Insert the protective covering into the port connectors.
