OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
6. Using the small handle on the pressure release valve, follow the arrow on the stem and
rotate to the "Pressure" position. The valve will be lowered onto the lid. (See Fig. 8)
If the pressure release valve is not closed, the Ultra Cooker will not build
IMPORTANT:
pressure for pressure cooking. The liquids may boil dry and cause the unit to overheat and
shut down.
7. Plug the cord into a 120V AC electrical wall outlet. The Ultra Cooker will emit 1 beep,

"0000" will be displayed on the control panel.
8. Turn the pressure control to HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW pressure. (See Fig. 9)
9. The Ultra Cooker offers timer control for every function.
10. To set the timer for cooking, press the function you want. For Slow Cooker and
Browning function, the default time will be shown on the panel when you select the
function. For other functions cooking under pressure, you will need to press TIME
button to see the default pressure time. (See section entitlted "Simple Cooking
Instructions" on page 16 for complete instructions)
11. Press + or – button to increase or decrease cooking time or keeping pressure time.
12. When desired cook time is displayed, press the START button and the unit will start
to work.
13. As the appropriate pressure/temperature is achieved, there will be a slight hissing of
steam from the pressure indicator valve, located on the back of the handle. The
pressure indicator will begin to rise as pressure mounts.
There will be some normal hissing, if there is an excessive loud hissing and
WARNING:
water and steam are spurting from the pressure release valve, check to make sure the
pressure release valve is lowered on the lid and is rotated to the "pressure" position.
14. After approximately 10 minutes, (or more depending on the amount of liquid added to
the cooking pot) the pressure indicator rod will rise to its uppermost position.
The target cook time will begin to count down in minutes.
