The QoS function is used to do bandwidth management for the services with certain IP or port
number. However, there is no effect of bandwidth management on the service such as IM or
P2P without fixed IP or port number.
APP QoS employs the function of APP Enforcement to detect several types of software in
application layer. By combining the function of QoS, Vigor router can perform the bandwidth
management for the application of VoIP, Streaming, IM and P2P.

Type in a new service for your request.
Choose the type (TCP, UDP or TCP/UDP) for the new
service.
Click Single or Range as the Type. If you select Range, you
have to type in the starting port number and the end porting
number on the boxes below.
Port Number – Type in the starting port number and the end
porting number here if you choose Range as the type.
