Replacing Narrow Back Upholstery and Cushion
WARNING
Upholstery and cushion MUST be inspected before each use. Exposure to moisture (i.e. - wet weather or puddles) will damage fastening
straps/flaps/strips. DO NOT operate handcycle if upholstery is wet or damaged, otherwise severe injury may occur.
Replacing the Cushion
1.
Pull the existing back cushion to release the fastening strips.
2.
Align the fastening strips on the back frame with the fastening strips
on the new back cushion.
3.
Press the back cushion firmly against the back frame to secure.
Replacing the Upholstery
1.
Remove the cushion.
2.
Pull up to remove the existing upholstery from the back frame.
3.
Slide the new back upholstery over the back frame.

9.21 Replacing the Seat Positioning Strap

On Wide Backs
1.
Release the fastening strips securing the existing seat positioning
strap to the back frame.
2.
Secure the new seat positioning strap to the back frame using the
fastening strips.
On Narrow Backs
The seat positioning strap is attached to the back upholstery. Replace the
back upholstery to replace the seat positioning strap. Refer to Replacing
Narrow Back Upholstery and Cushion.
