Query auto range (on or off)
These commands are used to control auto ranging. With auto ranging en-
abled, the instrument automatically goes to the most sensitive range to per-
form the measurement.
The auto range command (:RANGe:AUTO) is coupled to the command that
manually selects the measurement range (:RANGe <n>). When auto range
is enabled, the parameter value for :RANGe <n> changes to the automati-
cally selected range value. Thus, when auto range is disabled, the instrument
remains at the automatically selected range. When a valid :RANGe <n>
command is sent, auto ranging disables.
