Mandatory regulations
EMC compliance
For the Speed Touch 591s to meet the requirements of EN55022 Class B, a ferrite
bead must be installed on the network connection cables.
The network port must have a Steward ferrite bead (part number 28A2025-0A2) or
equivalent, installed as closely as possible to the port.
Safety approval for dc systems
The dc source for the system must meet the requirements of a SELV source as
defined in EN60950.
United Kingdom regulations
Power supply cord wiring
The instructions for power supply cord and plug wiring are no longer mandatory. If
this information is required, consult the Australian regulations section for details,
since both countries have identical power supply cord and plug wiring requirements.
External power supply
Norway regulations

The equipment must be connected to an earthed mains socket outlet. An earthed
mains socket outlet must be used when the equipment is connected to a data network.
Sweden regulations
Apparaten skall anslutas till jordat uttag nar den anslutas till ett natverk.
The product should be connected to a mains socket outlet with earthing contact.
Switzerland regulations
The mains plug must comply with SEV/ASE 1011.

The Speed Touch 591s is intended for use when
powered by an appropriate external power supply available only from
Alcatel. The use of any other power supply may invalidate regulatory
approvals of this equipment.
