10 — Configuring the T1/E1 CE port
Alarm time
For ESF framing on the T1 port and basic framing on the E1 port, the alarm
declaration and clearing times can be configured from 0.1 to 30 s in increments of
0.1 s.
Procedure 10-6 Configuring the alarm time

Enter:
CONFIG — OBJECT — PORT — <U>

Enter:
DECLARE or CLEAR or RDI_CLEAR
For DECLARE, go to step 3.
For CLEAR, go to step 4.
For RDI_CLEAR, go to step 5.

For the declare time, enter:
<declare>
where clear is from 0.1 to 30 s, in increments of 0.1 s

For the clear time, enter:
<clear>
where clear is from 0.1 to 30 s, in increments of 0.1 s

For RDI clearing, select:
ON_LOF_CLEAR or ON_RESYNCH
Zero suppression
The T1 CE port can be configured to use the B8ZS or JB7 suppression mechanism.
If the port is configured for UDT or monitored UDT AAL service mode, JB7 is not
available. The default is B8ZS encoding.
