Situations that can be easily mistaken as a projector defect (continued)

No sound can
be heard.
No images are

Situations not caused by a projector defect
The signal cables are not connected correctly.
Correctly connect the audio cables.
MUTE is on.
Restore sound by pressing MUTE or the VOLUME +/-
button on the remote control.
The volume is adjusted too low.
Adjust the volume to a higher level using the menu feature
or the remote control.
The AUDIO SOURCE>INTERNAL SPEAKERS setting is
not correct.
Correct the AUDIO SOURCE>INTERNAL SPEAKERS setting in
the AUDIO menu.
The selected HDMI NOISE CANCEL mode is not correct.
Check each mode and select the correct one for your
HDMI™ audio device.
The lens cover is attached.
Remove the lens cover.
The signal cables are not connected correctly.
Correctly connect the connection cables.
Brightness is adjusted too low.
Adjust BRIGHTNESS to a higher level using the menu feature.
The computer cannot detect the projector as a plug and play monitor.
Make sure that the computer can detect a plug and play
monitor using another plug and play monitor.
The BLANK screen is displayed.
Press BLANK button on the remote control.
Although an image input source is plugged into the USB
TYPE B port, USB TYPE B is set to MOUSE.
Change USB TYPE B to USB DISPLAY in order to project
the image input to the USB TYPE B port. (You will not be
able to use the simple mouse and keyboard feature in this
case.) Otherwise select another port for image input.
The projector does not recognize the USB storage
device inserted into USB TYPE A port.
Use the REMOVE USB feature first, then remove the USB
storage device, and re-insert it into the port.
Before removing the USB storage device, be sure to use
the REMOVE USB feature on the thumbnail screen, which
appears when the USB TYPE A port is selected as the input
source.
