Depending on the installation and surrounding environment, images projected from both projectors may not superimpose perfectly. The images cannot superimpose well when the screen is slanted, warped or has an uneven surface.

Installation 2.4 Confirming Main and Sub settings Press the MENU button on the remote control for Main (Projector B). NOTE • When Smart Stack is in use, MAIN is only capable of receiving remote control signals. SUB will not respond to remote control signals. The following dialogs appear on the lower right screen.

STACK menu settings 3.2 Selecting Main, Sub or off To enable Smart Stack, select either MAIN or SUB. Smart Stack starts when one projector is set to MAIN and the other is set to SUB in the STACK MODE dialog. To disable Smart Stack, select OFF.
STACK menu settings 3.3 Selecting the lamp operation mode Select the DUAL or ALTERNATE lamp operation mode. Highlight LAMP MODE in the STACK menu with the ▲/▼ buttons, then press the ► button to display the LAMP MODE dialog. Use the ▲/▼ buttons in the dialog to highlight DUAL or ALTERNATE. DUAL: Turns on the projectors at the same time.

STACK menu settings 3.7 Important information for Smart Stack (continued) ● If you need to turn a projector off to fix an issue, turn off both projectors, so that Smart Stack can be re-started properly. ● If both projectors have their PIN LOCK or TRANSITION DETECTOR security functions set to ON, both projectors will turn on.
4. Connecting cables To superimpose two images onto one screen, the same image must be input to both the Main and Sub projectors. There are various ways to do this. This chapter describes different ways to connect the cables. Read this chapter to find a method which meets your needs.

Since the Smart Stack settings can only be changed when the Main projector is operating, this section explains how to switch from the Sub projector to the Main projector.

6. Scheduling limitations This model supports Web Control scheduling functions. (Network Guide → Web Control → 3.7 Schedule Settings) There are some scheduling limitations when Smart Stack is used with an RS232 connection. But for Simple Stack with- out an RS232 connection, there are no limitations. Regardless of whether Smart Stack or Simple Stack is used, review the Schedule settings before using the Stack function.
