• Smocking
With the stitch iength at "'4"" , sew
straight stitching fines 3!8"" apart across
the area to be smocked.
Knot the threads along one edge. Pull
the bobbin threads and distribute the
gathers evenly. Secure the threads at
the other end. Sew the decorative stitch
between the gathering stitches.
Pull out the gathering stitches.
NOTE: Loosen the top thread tension
to make gathering easier.

d'un cord et, de l'autre, tirez sur les fils

ills a froncer.

fil de dessus pour piquer

lineas de puntadas rectas, separadas unas
de otras per un 1 cm, en toda el area que
va a traba.larse. Anude los bites en uno de
los bordes. Tire los hilos de ta bobtna y
distribuya el recogido en forma pare]a.
Asegure los lailos en ta otra orilla. Cosa
puntadas decoratwas sobre et recogido.
Quite Easpuntadas de recogido.
NOTA: Afloje [a tensi6n del hilo
superior para que e! recogido
se haga mas fficil.
