Requirements

For simultaneous full colour and metallic colour
printing you will need the following.
1.
Media

Press Paper or High Grade Paper, etc. can be
used as with normal colour printing.
2.
Ink cartridges
The following ink cartridges can be used for
simultaneous full colour and foil colour printing.

Metallic Magenta ink cartridge

Metallic Cyan ink cartridge

Metallic Gold ink cartridge

Process Cyan ink cartridge

Process Magenta ink cartridge

Note:
Only a maximum of nine ink cartridges can be
installed in the printer at any one time. Cyan,
Magenta, Yellow and Black cartridges must always be
installed. The Foil and Finish II cartridges are
optional.

Prepare the image to be printed

Create the data you want to print, then set the image
areas to be printed in metallic colours to colours that
correspond to the metallic colours you want to use. For
the colours (and colour components) that correspond to
each metallic colour, refer to the table below.
Note:
There are a small range of colour component values
that will be interpreted by the printer as indicating
metallic colours. Because of this, photographs and
other data with many different colours may have areas
that match the metallic colour designations and print
only partially in foil colour. When printing images that
contain data such as photographs, it is best to print full
colour plus metallic colour using Overlay mode
In simultaneous full colour plus metallic colour
printing, indicate the Red, Blue, gold and silver metallic
