How should I use opaque white ink?
Opaque white ink can be used as follows:
Opaque white ink can be used for white base
printing. It is possible to do a white base print
which is necessary for the dummy design for film
packaging.

Is it OK to print using the opaque white ink on top
of a full colour image?
Print with Opaque white ink for full-colour
printing.

For full colour printing and glossy finishing, may I
use any type of paper?
We suggest using High Grade Paper, Press Paper
or VPhoto Film for full colour printing. Using
other types of paper can produce a poor image.
Connection method

Can I connect multiple DP printers to a single
computer?
If different SCSI device numbers are used,
multiple printers can be connected to a single
Macintosh. Of course, simultaneous printing is
not possible.

Can I connect a single DP printer to multiple
computers?
No, the printer is not designed for this.
Other operational problems

Is this printer compatible with PostScript?
The DP-7000 printer uses QuickDraw. It is not
compatible with PostScript.
However, it is possible to use DP-7000 printer for
PostScript printing by using the DP-7000 RIP
(software RIP).

EPS files cannot be output clearly.
Since EPS files are data files for PostScript
printers, images at 72 dpi may be output from
QuickDraw depending on the application.

Are enlargements and reductions possible?
Set either the enlargement or the reduction rate in
the
Reduce or Enlarge
dialogue box. This value may be specified
between 25 and 400.

The preview doesn't change even though I change
the reduction or enlargement in the Page Setup
dialogue box.
