Your software is not properly
set up for your printer.
An ink cartridge may be too
old. Cartridges are too old if
they have been used longer
than six months or beyond
the date on their packaging.
Nothing prints and the lights are on or flashing.
Cause
Several common printer
errors have occurred at once.
The printer sounds like it is printing, but nothing prints.

Troubleshooting
Make sure that your printer is
properly selected in your software.
Install or re-install the printer driver
software as described in Chapter 2.
First try cleaning the print heads as
described in "Cleaning the Print
Heads" on page 8-36. If print does not
appear after several cleaning tries, you
may need to replace a cartridge(s) as
described on page 8-44.
What to do
Use the table in "Error indicators" at
the beginning of this chapter to
determine what combination of errors
may have occurred, and apply the
recommended solutions.

Clean the print heads as described in
"Cleaning the Print Heads" on page
8-36. If this does not work after several
trials, contact your dealer.
Try cleaning the print heads. If that
does not solve the problem, replace ink
cartridges as needed. If none of the Ink
Out lights are on or flashing, see "Ink
Cartridge Problems" on page 8-44.
