When the Ink Out light (Yellow) is
flashing

Note:
When the color ink cartridge is empty, the printer can continue to
work using only black ink. To continue printing with black ink only,
see "Printing with an empty color ink cartridge" on page 7-5.

Caution:
Leave the old cartridge installed in the printer until you are
ready to replace it with a new one.
To replace an ink cartridge, follow the steps below.
1. Make sure the printer is on. Determine which cartridge
needs to be replaced as indicated by the Ink Out
that is flashing or on.
2. Push the top of the ink compartment door to open it. Then
carefully pull the used ink cartridge straight out of the
printer.

Warning:
If ink gets on your hands, wash them thoroughly with
soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them
immediately with water.
3. Make sure the replacement ink cartridge is the correct color,
and remove it from its package.
obtain a replacement yellow ink cartridge
(S020122).
replace the empty yellow ink cartridge.
