Accelerator pedal position switch system
The accelerator pedal position switch detects that the accelerator pedal is fully closed,
and sends a signal to the engine-ECU <M/T> or engine-A/T-ECU <A/T>. The
engine-ECU <M/T> or engine-A/T-ECU <A/T> controls idle speed, based on this signal.
Check the accelerator pedal position switch. (Refer to P.13I-110*.)
Measure at accelerator pedal position sensor connector C-172.
D Disconnect the connector, and measure at the harness side.
D Voltage between terminal 4 and earth
(Ignition switch: ON)
OK: 4 V or more
D Continuity between terminal 5 and earth
OK: Continuity
Check the following connector: C-172
Check trouble symptom.
