Measure at the engine-A/T-ECU connectors C-175, C-176.
D Disconnect the connector, and measure at the harness side.
(1) Voltage between 98 and earth
(Ignition switch: ON)
OK: System voltage
(2) Voltage between 49 and earth
OK: System voltage
(3) Voltage between 41, 47 and earth (Ignition switch: ON)
OK: System voltage (When terminal 49 is shorted to
earth)
(4) Continuity between 42, 48 and earth
OK: Continuity
(5) Voltage between 66 and earth
OK: System voltage
Check the following connectors: C-175, C-176
OK
Check the trouble symptoms.
Replace the engine-A/T-ECU.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE 26
Engine control relay and ignition switch-IG system
When the ignition switch ON signal is input to the engine-ECU <M/T> or
engine-A/T-ECU <A/T>, the engine-ECU <M/T> or engine-A/T-ECU <A/T> turns
on the engine control relay.
This causes system voltage to be supplied to the engine-ECU <M/T> or
engine-A/T-ECU <A/T> and to the sensors and actuators.
Check the engine control relay. (Refer
to P.13I-107*.)

Measure at the engine control relay con-
nector C-31.
D Disconnect the connector, and
measure at the harness side.
D Voltage between 3, 4 and earth
OK: System voltage
OK
Check the engine-ECU power supply
and earth circuit system.
(Refer to P.13I-89, INSPECTION PRO-
CEDURE 25.)

switch.
Check the ignition switch. (Refer to GROUP 54 – Ignition Switch.)
(2), (3) NG
Checktheharnesswirebetweentheengine-A/T-ECUandtheengine
control relay, and repair if necessary.
(4) NG
Check the harness wire between the engine-A/T-ECU and the earth,
and repair if necessary.
(5) NG
Check the following connectors: (C-48, C-63, C-66, C-83, C-132,
C-141) <LHD>, (C-14, C-62, C-66, C-83) <RHD>
Check the trouble symptoms.
Check the harness wire between the engine-A/T-ECU and the
battery, and repair if necessary.
