Range of Check
D Ignition switch: ON
D Excluding 60 seconds immediately after the engine starts.
D Battery voltage is 10 V or more.
D Forced actuation by means of MUT-II is not being carried out.
Set condition
Solenoid valve drive or non-drive instruction and energized condition of solenoid coil
are different.
MUT-II Actuator Test
16 Ventilation control solenoid valve
OK: Operating sound can be
heard and the valve vibrates.

Measure at the ventilation control
solenoid valve connector B-79.
D Disconnect the connector, and
measure at the solenoid valve
side.
D The resistance between terminals
1 and 2
OK: 36 - 44 W (at 20_C)
OK
Check the following connector:
B-79
OK
Measure at the ventilation control
solenoid valve connector B-79.
D Disconnect the connector and
measure at the harness side.
D Ignition switch: ON
D The voltage between terminal 1
and earth
OK: System voltage
OK
Measure at engine-ECU connector
C-168.
D Measure the voltage at the
engine-ECU terminal.
D Ignition switch: ON
D The voltage between terminal 31
and earth
OK: System voltage
OK
Check the following connector:
C-168
OK
Check the harness wires between
the ventilation control solenoid valve
and the engine control relay, and
between the purge control solenoid
valve and the engine-ECU.
OK
Check the trouble symptoms.

Replace the engine-ECU.
