InsertEditing
You can record a new scene hrto a previously recorded
tape, replacing a section of the original recording with
minimal picture distoltion at tile in and outpoints. Tile
original audio remains unchanged.
NOTES:
• Belbre perf_)rming the ibll_wing stops, make sure that
"TIME (?ODE" is set to "ON" in the Menu Screen
(_ pg. 47).
• Insert Fditing is not possible on a tape rec_)rded in tile LP
mode or on a blank portion of a tape.
• T_)perform Insert Fditing while watching in the
television, make c_)nnections (L _" pg. 54).
Play back tile tape, locate the EditX-)ut point and
press PAUSE (11). Confirm the time code at this point
(_° pg.,,42).
Press REW (_1) until the Editqn point is located, then
press PAUSE (11).
Press and hold INSERT (O) on the remote control,
then press PAUSE (11). "110" and the Time Code
(min.:secd appear and the camcorder enters Insert-
Pause mode.
Press START/STOP to begin editing.
• Confirm the insert at the time code you checked in
step 1.
• T() pause editing, press START/STOP. Press it again
to resume editing.
To end Insert Editing, press START/STOP, then STOP
(m).
NOTES:
• Program AE with special efl_ct_ (_ p_. ?,6, ?,7) carl be
used to spice up tile scenes being edited during Insert
Fditing.
• During Insert Fditing_ tile date and time inf_)rmation
changes.
• If you perfoml h_seff. Fditing onto a blank _pace on the
tape, the audio and video may be disrupted, Make sure
y_)u only edit recorded areas.
• During Insert Fditing_ when tile tape moves t_) scenes
recorded in the LP mode or a blank portion, Insert Edting
st_)ps (_ pg. 87L
