    Continue using the camcorder or AC adapter/charger under these conditions could lead to fire or electric shock. Contact your JVC dealer. Do not attempt to repair the malfunction yourself. To prevent shock, do not open the cabinet. No user serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

    In order to maintain optimum performance of the camcorder, provided cables may be equipped with one or more core filter. If a cable has only one core filter, the end that is closest to the filter should be connected to the camcorder.

    How To Attach The Lens Cap To protect the lens, attach the provided lens cap to the camcorder as shown in the illustration. NOTE: To confirm the lens cap is on correctly make sure the cap is flush to the camera.

    Performing any operation during the demonstration stops the demonstration temporarily. If no operation is performed for more than 3 minutes after that, the demonstration will resume. “DEMO MODE” remains “ON” even if the camcorder power is turned off. To cancel Automatic Demonstration: 1.

    Charging time varies according to the ambient temperature and the status of the battery pack. To avoid interference with reception, do not use the AC Power Adapter/Charger near a radio. If you connect the camcorder’s DC cord to the adapter during battery charging, power is supplied to the camcorder and charging stops.

    Tripod Mounting When attaching the camcorder to a tripod, extend its legs to stabilise the camcorder. It is not advised to use small sized tripods. This may cause damage to the unit by falling over. To attach the camcorder to a tripod, align the direction stud and screw to the mounting socket and stud hole on the camcorder.

    Before using a new memory card, it is necessary to FORMAT the card. Do not insert/remove the memory card while the camcorder is turned on, as this may cause the memory card to be corrupted or cause the camcorder to become unable to recognize whether or not the card is installed.

    Some VCRs make the transition from Record-Pause to Record mode faster than others. Even if you begin editing for the camcorder and the VCR at exactly the same time, you may lose scenes you wanted, or find that you have recorded scenes you did not want. For a cleanly edited tape, confirm and adjust the timing of the camcorder against your VCR.

    If, after following the steps in the chart below, the problem still exists, please consult your nearest JVC dealer. The camcorder is a microcomputer-controlled device. External noise and interference (from a TV, a radio, etc.) might prevent it from functioning properly. In such cases, first disconnect its power supply unit (battery pack, AC Power Adapter/Battery Charger, etc.) and wait a few minutes;...
  • Page 75 SYMPTOM The cassette will not load properly. The memory card will not load properly. In the 5-Second mode, recording ends before 5 seconds have elapsed. Snapshot mode cannot be used. The colour of Snapshot looks strange. The image taken using Snapshot is too dark.

    After Use Turn off the camcorder. Slide and hold OPEN/EJECT in the direction of the arrow, then pull the cassette holder cover open until it locks. The cassette holder opens automatically. Remove the cassette. Press “PUSH HERE” to close the cassette holder.

    Remove the power supply (battery, etc.) and wait a few minutes for the MODE REMOVE AND indication to clear. When it does, you can resume using the camcorder. If the REATTACH BATTERY indication remains, consult your nearest JVC dealer.
