Power Zoom Lever (VOLUME)

Load a tape (_° P8. 12).
Set tile Power Switch to "[_" while pressing down
tile Loci< Button located on the switch. To start
playbacl<, press I_/11.
• To stop playback, press i.
• Press _ to rewind, or _ to fast-forward the tape
during Stop mode.
To Control The Speaker Volume.
.... slide tile Power Zoom Lever (VOLUME) towards "+"
to turn up tile volume, or towards "-" to turn down the
VOI U Rl@.
NOTES:
• If Stop mode continues for 5 minutes when power is
supplied from a battery, the camcorder shuts off
automatically. To turn on again, set the P_wer Switch t_
"OFF'; then to "1_ ".
• Tile playback picture can be viewed in the LCD monitoc
viewfinder or on a connected TV (_ 7 ° pg. 54).
• You can also view tile playback picture on the LCD
monitor with it flipped over and pushed against the
camera body.
• LCD monitor/viewfinder indications:
• When power is supplied from a battery: the "_"
battery pack r_maining power indicator is dbplay_d.
When power is supplied through tile D( co_d: "_"
does not appea_:
• During Stop mode, none of the indications are
displayed.
• When a cable is connected to tile AV c_)nnecto_ tile
sound is not heard fr_)m the speake£
Still Playback:
Pauses during playback.
1 ) Press I_/11 during playback.
2) To resume normal playback, press I_/11 again.
• If still playback continues for more than about ; minutes, the camcorder's Stop mode is automatically
engaged. After 5 minutes in the Stop mode, the camcorder'_ power is auto,maritally turned ofl_
• When I_/11 is pressed, tile image may not pause immediately while the camc_rder stabilizes tile still
image.
Shuttle Search:
Allows high-speed search in either direction.
1 ) Press ID_ for forward or _ for reverse search during playback.
2) To resume normal playbacl<, press I_/11.
• During playback, press and hold _ or I_.t_.. The search continues as long as y_u hold tile button.
Once you release it, normal playback r_sumes.
• A slight mosaic eflFct appear* on screen during Shuttle Search. This is not a malfunction.
Frame-By-Frame Playback:
Allows frame4)y-frarrre search.
1) Engage Still Playbacl<.
2) Rotate the MENU wheel towards "+" for forward Frame-By-Frame Playback, or towards "-" for reverse
Frame-By-Frame Playback during Still Playback.
• To resume normal playback, press I_/11.
• Y_u can also use the pr_vided remote control f_r Frame-By-Frame Playback (_° pg. 6_;).
Slow-Motion Playback, Playback Zoom and Playback Special Effects
Available only with the rerrrote control (provided) (_° pg. 63, 64).
