B. CONFIDENTIAL TRANSMISSION
This function can be used when you wish that documents, being sent to a re-
mote machine, will be seen only by a specific person or department. When
documents are sent using Confidential Transmission, they are automatically
directed and stored in the image memory of the receiving machine. The docu-
ments can only be printed out then when the correct passcode is entered.

NOTES:
Confidential Transmission can only take place when the receiving machine
is a Sharp-brand unit having Confidential Reception capability. (As of Sept.
1988, these models were: FO-300, 420, 550, 700, 800, 3200 and 5000).
When using Confidential Transmission to a Sharp unit with multiple "mailboxes:'
you must indicate a specific mailbox number. Contact party who should receive
documents for their assigned mailbox number. (As of Sept. 1988, those models
with multiple mailboxes were: FO-700, 800, 3200 and 5000).
If any of the following actions are performed during a confidential transmis-
sion, or after preparation for a confidential transmission, the transmission
will be cancelled.
Procedure must be repeated.
(1) The documents are removed from the feeder.
(2) Document reception takes place in response to a polling request.
(3) Copying is done.
After preparing for confidential transmission, the telephone can still be used
without cancelling the operation.
During confidential transmission, if the confidential memory of the receiving
machine becomes full, a transmission error will result and the transmission
will stop. In this case, "LINE ERROR" will appear in the display.
