D. CLEANING THE RECORDING HEAD
A clean recording head will help your facsimile unit del,iver optimum printing
performance. Sometimes paper dust on the head may cause problems in reduc-
tion. To avoid this, clean the head frequently with the following procedure.
1. Pull the control compartment open knob
upward and open the control panel.
2. Pull the paper compartment cover knob
and open the paper compartment cover.
3. Wipe the recording head clean with a soft
cloth dampened with ethyl alcohol.
NOTE:
Never use benzene or thinner. Avoid
l
touching the recording head with a hard
object.
After receiving many documents continu-
l
ously, the recording head becomes quite
hot. So be careful.
4. Close the paper compartment cover and
the control panel.
