XV. TROUBLESHOOTING
Meaning/Remedy
In confidential transmission, one of the following
conditions exists:
(1) The remote unit has no confidential function.
(2) The remote unit has only one confidential
memory, and the remote unit's passcode has
not been entered.
(3) The remote unit's confidential memory is full.
(4) The remote unit is not a Sharp machine.
In case of (1) and (4):
l
Use non-confidential transmission mode, or
send to a Sharp facsimile unit with confiden-
tial function if available on the remote side.
In case of (2):
l
Request the remote party to enter their pass-
code in their unit.
In case of (3):
l
Request the remote receiving party to print out
the confidential information it has so far
received, and then continue the transmission,
or send the information in the non-confidential
transmission mode.
In confidential transmission.
(1) When the remote facsimile unit is a model
squipped with more than one confidential
memory (box) (e.g., FO-550, FO-700, FO-800,
FO-3200, FO-5000) and a wrong confidential
box number (2 digits) has been entered.
(2) When the sender's phone number is not
registered in your machine.
In case of (1):
l
Check the receiver's box number and retry con-
fidential transmission.
In case of (2):
l
Register the sender's phone number and retry
confidential transmission.
