Operation

Problem
The system won't
start up when the
power button is
pressed.
The system freezes.

"crashes" when
installing OS or
drivers.
The system never
goes into hibernate
mode.

Possible Cause
The Audio "DJ" CD Player is
ON (see "Audio "DJ" CD
Player" on page 3 - 26).
The system's power saving
features have timed-out (the
screen goes dark).
A software conflict made the
system "crash".
The MP3 player is installed.
Power Options features are
not enabled.
Possible Solution
Toggle the ON/OFF switch off the CD Player.
Use the AC adapter, press the Fn + Esc (Suspend)
key combination, or press the Power Button if no LEDs
are lit.
Consult your OS manual. As a last resort, since you
will lose any unsaved data, try to reboot the system or
if that doesn't work, turn the computer off and on
again.
Make sure the MP3 player is not in the slot when
installing operating systems, and any of the drivers
listed in "What to Install" on page 4 -
Go to the Windows Power Options menu and enable
the features you prefer (see "Enabling Power
Options" on page 3 - 16). Make sure you have
enabled the Hibernate mode from the control panel.
