VT Series Emulations

CHAPTER 10
This chapter describes features of the VT suite of terminal
emulations.
The VT Series suite of terminal emulations consists of the follow-
ing emulations which can be selected using the
option in the
VT Series Settings
Provides compatibility with software designed to
AIXTerm
drive an X terminal using X Windows.
This emulation is a derivative of the ANSI device
Ansi BBS
driver ANSI.SYS supplied with all DOS based
PCs and which provides the screen management
for the DOS console screen. PC based UNIX sys-
tems and Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) often rely
on the ANSI emulation when being accessed by a
PC. In ANSI BBS mode the screen size is adjusted
to 25 lines and the preferred character set is set to
ANSI.
Provides compatibility with software designed to
AT 386
drive the AT&T AT 386 terminal.
Provides compatibility with software designed to
ATT4410
drive the AT&T Dataspeed 4410 terminal. Refer
to the section "AT&T 4410 Emulation" on
page 88 for details.
