Click Apply to implement changes made. Click the Show All Static VLAN Entries link to return to the Current 802.1Q Static VLAN Entries window.

GVRP Setting

In the Configuration menu, open the VLANs folder and click GVRP Setting.
The 802.1Q Port Settings dialog box, shown below, allows you to determine whether the Switch will share its VLAN configuration information with other
GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP) enabled switches. In addition, Ingress Checking can be used to limit traffic by filtering incoming packets whose
PVID does not match the PVID of the port. Results can be seen in the table under the configuration settings, as seen below.

User Defined Pid – Specifies that the VLAN will only accept packets with this hexadecimal 802.1Q Ethernet type
value in the packet header.The user may define an entry, in the hexadecimal form (ffff) to define the packet
identification. (The user only need enter the final four integers of the hexadecimal format to define the packet ID –{hex
0x0 0xffff}) This field is only operable if userDefined is selected in the Protocol ID field.
encap [ethernet | llc | snap | all] – Specifies that the Switch will examine the octet of the packet header referring
to one of the protocols listed (Ethernet, LLC or SNAP), looking for a match of the hexadecimal value
previously entered . all will instruct the Switch to examine the total packet header.After a match is found, the
Switch will forward the packet to this VLAN.This field is only operable if userDefined is selected in the Protocol
ID field.
Allows an individual port to be specified as member of a VLAN.
Specifies the port as either 802.1Q tagging or 802.1Q untagged. Checking the box will designate the port as
Tagged.
Allows an individual port to be specified as a non-VLAN member.
Select this to specify the port as a static member of the VLAN. Egress member ports are ports that will be
transmitting traffic for the VLAN.These ports can be either tagged or untagged.
Select this to specify the port as not being a member of the VLAN and that the port is forbidden from
becoming a member of the VLAN dynamically.
