Description
Specifies a parity group number (gno:1-32, sgno:1- 1 6).
For example:
3- 1
Specifies one of the following options: -raid_grp, - external_grp_id, and -pool_id.
Specifies an external volume group number (gno:1- 1 6384, sgno:1-4096).
For example:
52- 1 1 ("E" is not required)
Specifies one of the following options: -raid_grp, - external_grp_id, and -pool_id.
Specifies a pool ID or Pool name for Thin Provisioning/Smart Tiers when V-VOL is created to
Thin Provisioning/Smart Tiers pool.
When specifying just a number, it is recognized as a pool ID. Therefore, when you specify a
pool that the pool name is only a number, operate by specifying pool ID instead of specifying
pool name. When creating V-VOL to a pool for Snapshot, specify "snap".
Specifies an LDEV number (0-65279).
For example:
-ldev_id 200
Specifies a capacity. The size can be specified for GB and LBA. When specifying GB, the unit
is g/G, m/M, or k/K. Block (512KB) is used if the specification is omitted.
When specifying GB, note the following items:
There is no size correction.
If the capacity of LDEVs that are created by each GUI and CLI are the same, a copy pair
might not be created. To create a pair with the LDEV that is created by GUI, create a LDEV
by specifying LBA.
Example of extension:
1GB (gigabyte) is:
-capacity 1G, -capacity 1g, -capacity 1024M, -capacity 1024m, -capacity 1048576K, -capacity
1048576k, -capacity 2097152
In case of volumes other than OPEN-V, it is required the more free space than the capacity
which is actually specified. For more details, see the P9000 Provisioning for Mainframe Systems
User Guide.
Specifies capacity. Corrects the size. The capacity can be specified in byte or block.
Specifies the size in cylinder unit. When specifying, the unit is g/G, m/M, or k/K. Cylinder
is used if the specification is omitted.
Specifies a Location (the starting point of the LDEV to be created in the parity group/external
volume group). If this specification is omitted, create a LDEV and close up in the free space.
Specifies an emulation type.
For example:
OPEN-V
If this specification is omitted, OPEN-V is specified.
The valid values that can be specified to <emulation type>:
OPEN-3, OPEN-8, OPEN-9, OPEN-E, OPEN-L, OPEN-V
3380-3, 3390-3, 3390-9, 3390-L, 3390-M
Specifies an MP Blade ID (0-7). If this specification is omitted, it is allocated automatically.
