Defining an Environment Variable

To define a variable to serve as a parameter in an EEM policy, follow these steps:

Verifying EEM Configuration

To display EEM configuration information, perform one of the following tasks:

show event manager policy internal

Purpose
Configures the event statement for the policy. See the
"Configuring Event Statements" section on page
Configures an action statement for the policy. See the

(Optional) Displays information about the configured
policy.
(Optional) Saves this configuration change.
Purpose
Enters configuration mode.
Create an environment variable for EEM. The
variable-name can be any case-sensitive alphanumeric
string up to 29 characters. The variable-value can be
any quoted alphanumeric string up to 39 characters.
(Optional) Displays information about the configured
environment variables.
(Optional) Saves this configuration change.
Purpose
Displays information about the event manager
environment variables.
Displays information about the event manager
event types.
Displays the history of events for all policies.
Displays information about the configured
policies.
Displays information about policy state, including
thresholds.
Displays information about the script policies.
