Installing internal drives

Several types of drives are available, such as:
v Diskette
v Hard disk
v CD-ROM
v Tape, including digital linear tape (DLT), super digital linear tape (SDLT), and
Note: The server supports both internal and external tape drives.
Some server models have hardware that supports hot-swap drives, which you can
replace without turning off the server.

Internal drive bays

All server models come with an IDE CD-ROM drive in bay 1 and a 3.5-in., 1.44 MB
diskette drive in bay 3. Depending on your server model it will also come with either
six hot-swap hard disk drive bays or a hard disk drive in bay 7.
