    Installing hard disk drives Your appliance supports up to two IDE hard disk drives. You can add a second hard disk drive to the appliance in one of the following configurations: v RAID The appliance is shipped with one IDE hard disk drive connected to an IDE RAID adapter.

    The appliance ships with a preloaded disk image that can be restored from the reload CDROM if it becomes damaged. You can configure your xSeries Hosting Appliance remotely by using the IBM Advanced Appliance Configuration Utility, HostingDirector, or directly by attaching a network cable, monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the xSeries Hosting Appliance.
