22. Reinstall the blade server bezel assembly (see "Installing the blade server bezel assembly" on
page 42 for instructions.
23. Reinstall the blade server cover (see "Closing the blade server cover" on page 44 for
instructions.
24. Reinsert the blade server into the system chassis (see "Installing the blade server in the system
chassis" on page 45 for instructions).
NOTE
Update the BIOS of the server blade to the latest current revision. The latest BIOS revision
for the Intel
representative.

Replacing the I/O board

NOTE
Review the information in "General Safety" and "Electrical Safety" beginning on page vi
and "Installation guidelines" on page 19.
Read "Handling electrostatic discharge-sensitive devices" on page vii.
Complete the following steps to remove and replace the I/O board:
1. Shut down the operating system and turn off the blade server (see "Turning off the blade server"
on page 13 for instructions).
2. Remove the blade server from the system chassis (see "Removing the blade server from the
system chassis" on page 19 for instructions).
3. Remove the blade server cover (see "Opening the blade server cover" on page 20 for
instructions).
NOTE
If you have a SCSI storage expansion unit installed (which replaces the blade server
cover) then remove the SCSI storage expansion unit.
