S
Save Page Image – Defer OCR—A capability of TextBridge Pro
to store a binary (black and white) picture of each page it scans
for later document recognition. The page images are saved in
TIFF or PICT format. No OCR is performed during the process.
Later, you can queue up these images in the Image Queue dialog
box and have TextBridge Pro run document recognition on them.
Alternatively, you can use these page images in an image editing
or document image management application, or for any other
purpose. TextBridge Pro will store each page image exactly as
scanned.
scanner brightness—In TextBridge Pro scanner preferences, a
setting that informs the program about how light or dark the
resulting image from a scanned page will be. This is similar to the
Brightness or Contrast setting on a photocopier.
scanner driver—A software module that is written as an
interface between a software application and a scanner. The
scanner driver sends requests from the application to the scanner
in a language the scanner can understand. TextBridge Pro works
with TWAIN, Adobe Photoshop Import Plug-ins, or ISIS
scanner drivers. However, ScanSoft does not provide any type of
scanner driver with TextBridge Pro.
suspect word—In TextBridge Pro training mode any word that
is flagged to indicate a recognized word that TextBridge Pro is
uncertain about. A suspect word is shown in the text box in the
training toolbar
