Original quality
Use the Original Quality setting to inform TextBridge Pro about
the origin of the document, or to instruct the program to
automatically determine it.
Use the Normal setting for original documents that were laser-
printed, typeset, typewritten, impact-printed, or ink-jet printed,
or are photocopies of these document types. This setting takes the
least amount of processing time.
Use the Fax setting if you know your document originated from a
fax machine, fax modem, or was scanned from a hard-copy fax.
This setting requires some additional processing time, but is more
efficient than the Automatic setting.
Use the Dot matrix setting if you know your document
originated from a draft-quality dot matrix printer. This setting
requires some additional processing time, but is more efficient
than the Automatic setting.
Some dot matrix printers have a "letter quality" mode, which
Note
connects the dots that make up the characters. For documents
printed in this mode, do not use the Dot matrix setting. Use
Normal instead.
With the Automatic setting, the default, TextBridge Pro runs an
analysis on the page image(s) to determine the document quality.
TextBridge Pro can automatically detect faxes, dot-matrix, or
normal print documents. This setting takes the most processing
time.
