Output layout
The Output Layout settings control the look of the output
document.
The Text: One column setting, the default, outputs text only, in
straight galley (single-column) format. This setting works with all
output formats available in the Save dialog box, and requires the
least amount of processing time.
The Text and pictures: One column setting outputs text in
galley format. In addition, if TextBridge Pro detects any halftones
(or manually zoned line art) in the original document, it outputs
copies of those graphics at the end of the output document. This
setting works with all output formats available in the Save dialog
box. Only those output formats that support embedded graphics,
however, will include the graphics. This setting requires more
processing time than the Text: One column setting.
The Recompose Text setting outputs text in its original column
layout. If TextBridge Pro detects any halftones or manually-zoned
line art in the original document, it outputs empty frames in
place of the graphics, in their original locations. Recompose Text
supports output only to Word 5.1 (and later) and WordPerfect 3.1
(and later). It requires more processing time than the one-column
settings.
The Recompose All setting outputs text in its original column
layout. If TextBridge Pro detects any halftones or manually-zoned
line art in the original document, it outputs copies of those
graphics in their original locations. Recompose All supports
output only to Word 5.1 (and later) and WordPerfect 3.1 (and
later). It requires the most processing time.
For the best document recomposition, use Smart Zones™ to
Note
identify all graphics in the document, particularly if your
document has line art. Occasionally, TextBridge Pro errs in
detecting artwork on a page. It attempts to recognize the graphic
as text, and this disrupts document recomposition.
