If you can run TextBridge Pro from the Macintosh Finder, you
can write a TextBridge Pro script.
To create your own TextBridge Pro scripts, use the Script Editor
provided as part of the AppleScript utilities.
Scansoft provides the AppleScript extension as part of the
Note
Standard and Basic installations; the Script Editor is not
included, however, and must be acquired from Apple.
Using the Script Editor, you can record scripts while running
TextBridge Pro from the Finder, type a script from scratch, or
modify the sample scripts provided with TextBridge.
The following subsections discuss recording a script, editing
recorded scripts, and describe the sample scripts.
Because TextBridge Pro is recordable, you can capture the Apple
events that TextBridge Pro issues during processing. Then, you
can save these events in a script file which you can modify or run
as is.
To record a simple TextBridge Pro script, follow these steps:
1.
Start recording.
Double-click the Script editor icon to start the application:
In the untitled script window that appears, click the Record
button (Refer to Figure C–1).
Optionally, type a brief description in the provided area.
