Changing default properties for scanned documents
4–32
Contents
In Chapter 3, you are shown how to scan a document using Pagis
Pro default settings.
In many cases, selecting a Page Type in the Scan Tool and
scanning using the defaults for that Page Type provide excellent
results.
However, for some documents, you may want to adjust settings to
further control or define a scanned document.
This section describes the settings you can adjust to control the
scanning and document creation process. Specifically, these topics
are presented:
Specifying scanner properties
Specifying page refinements
Specifying auto save properties
Specifying keyword properties
Specifying scanner properties
In the Scan Tool, scanner properties describe the original docu-
ment; the color depth and resolution of the scanned document;
the brightness and contrast levels; and the page size.
To specify scanner properties, use the following procedure.
If you set up Pagis Pro to run your scanner with its own TWAIN
Note
interface, you will specify all scanner properties in the TWAIN
interface. You will not have access to Pagis scanner properties.
