About digital video and Flash
Flash provides support for several different video codecs, and provides tools for encoding
video into the Flash Video (FLV) format. In general, the preset video encoding profiles
included in the Flash Video Import wizard and the Flash 8 Video Encoder (Flash Professional
only) provide you with the optimum playback quality based on the bandwidth of the
audience you're targeting. If you are using Flash Professional 8, you can also customize your
encoding settings using the advanced encoding settings options available in both the Flash
Video Import wizard and the Flash Video Encoder.
