This chapter contains general information on safety when using the
device. In the remaining chapters, warning messages are used only
to highlight particular hazards directly arising from the actions being
described.
It is essential to read the operating manual carefully – especially
this chapter and the warning messages in the text – and to follow
the instructions therein.
This chapter also refers to areas that are the responsibility of the
provider due to certain risks arising from particular applications for
which the device is used deliberately and with full awareness of the
associated risks.
Warning messages in this manual are indicated by a coloured bar and
begin with a signal word that signifies the degree of the hazard.
WARNING
The signal word "WARNING" indicates a potentially dangerous situa-
tion that may result in severe or fatal injuries if not avoided.
CAUTION
The signal word "CAUTION" indicates a potentially dangerous situa-
tion that may result in minor injuries if not avoided.
NOTICE
The word "NOTICE" on a blue bar indicates a situation that may result
in significant damage to property if not avoided.
Texts that are marked in this way provide useful tips
and recommendations for ensuring efficient, fault-free
operation of the device.
